Pygmalion (Millie) - Sock monkey sewing project.
I wanted to make something for my friend’s birthday as she had a significant one a couple of months back and she’s been through a lot.
My friend is a bit of a superhero in my eyes hence the cape and the mask for the monkey. Both of which are hand embroidered, beaded or sequined.
My friend’s first initial is ‘M’ so is Millie the Sock Monkey. Millie is a pygmalion to be imbued with whatever energy is needed for the task at hand. A mascot for every situation she’s needed in. And she wears a puffball skirt.
Cape and mask are fully detachable.
